Welcome and thanks for visiting our website!

For thirteen years, our focus at Trim Tree Nursery was to be a regional wholesaler/retailer of containerized perennials. We withdrew from the retail market in 2002, which allowed us to change our focus and better serve our wholesale customers.

In 2004 we broadened our knowledge of the floriculture industry by growing nationally branded vegetative annuals and flowering shrubs, attending a Perennial Plant Association sponsored workshop on container gardening, and growing flowering potted plants for the month of August. Since that time, we have provided this knowledge and these plants to our wholesale customers.

Our focus is to "Offer our customers more flowering plants at more times during the growing season".

You may access the current plant availability list through our Wholesale Login link or go to the Login page by clicking here.  If you do not yet have an access password please email us or give us a call.

Proven Winners® ColorChoice® is not just another brand of plants. They are a select group of new, colorful, easy growing plants selected specifically for the North American gardener. We search the world for the best new plants and test them to make certain you get only the best performing, most colorful varieties.

How a new plant becomes a Proven Winners ColorChoice variety

A new plant must prove itself as superior to get into the Proven Winners ColorChoice program. Novelty alone is not enough. Potential varieties are evaluated against existing varieties in side by side evaluations and are graded on the following criteria:

· Is the plant an improvement over current selections?

· Is it a healthy growing plant, with superior disease and pest resistance?

· Does the plant have multiple seasons of ornamental interest?

· Does the plant serve a new or unique function in the landscape?

If a new variety scores well in this initial evaluation, it's then subjected to a production evaluation. If a plant performs well in production, it's then made available to progressive growers across North America.

Blooms of Bressingham PerennialsBlooms of Bressingham originated in England.  Father and son, Alan and Adrian Bloom are world renowned for their gardens and innovation in the perennial world.   Blooms of Bressingham North America (BOBNA) was formed to test and introduce the Blooms of Bressingham  plants to us here in the states!  When you see the trade name of Blooms of Bressingham, you will be assured of quality and dedication to introducing tested, tried and true plants.

Perennial Plant AssociationThe Perennial Plant Association (PPA) is dedicated to improving the perennial plant industry by providing education to enhance the production, promotion and utilization of perennial plants.  Each year members cast their vote for an outstanding perennial to become the 'Plant of the Year' which must meet the following criteria:   Suitable for a wide range of climate types,  Low maintenance needs,  Easily propagated - true from seed or vegetatively propagated, and Exhibiting multiple seasonal interest.
Red Barn Perennials is proud to be a member of the Perennial Plant Association and your local source for PPA recommended plants.

There is no other activity quite like gardening. And there's no other company as committed to growing superior plant varieties as Proven Winners. A collection of some of the industry's most renowned propagators, we are constantly developing new varieties that perform for the grower, retailer and of course, the consumer. Proven Winners are a combination of the most colorful, fastest growing, versatile plants in the world. And we back them up with the strongest retail support in the business.
