Why you need this plant:        Deep, dark violet spikes sit atop large basal leaves.  Long blooming that loves the heat of summer.  The striking flowers combined with the aromatic foliage makes Salvia the perfect plant for any perennial garden. 

 
Planting Info:       Deadheading will prolong bloom time and can be cut back after blooming to encourage foliar growth. Heat and drought resistant once established.  Attracts hummingbirds and butterflies.  Mulch over in the winter to  prevent freezing.
