Why you need this plant:        Showy flowers are held on well-branched panicles and persist 4-8 weeks beginning in late spring.  Subtle, sweet-fragrance.  Attract butterflies.  Green leaves.  Easy to grow and work well in the front of the border, rock garden or container.  Salt tolerant and deer resistant.

 
Planting Info:        Can be planted in early Spring right up until a month before the first killing frost.   Very tolerant of soil conditions, but you may want to amend with compost or slow release fertilizer in early spring for thicker vegetation.    Remove spent flowers to extend bloom time.  Prefer afternoon shade.  Can be grown under black walnut trees.
