Deeply serrated foliage with mounding habit that stays attractive all summer. | | | Planting Info: It is recommended that you plant this variety in full sun although it will tolerate partial shade. Most cranesbills thrive in evenly moist soil throughout the growing season. When you water, soak the soil to a depth of 8-10". Place about 2" of mulch around the base of each plant after the ground warms up in the spring to keep the soil moist and cool. Fertilize with a 10-10-10 mix in early spring or apply compost prior to mulching just as new growth emerges. Removing spent flowers may encourage additional bloom. Cut back after flowering to encourage the growth of a fresh mound of foliage. Mature plants are hardy but if winter mulch is applied, remove it as soon as the weather begins to warm up in the spring. | |
