It's long flowering period is a great characteristic in gardens and containers. | | | Planting Info: This summer plant thrives in full sun and will tolerate hot, dry conditions. Deadheading is optional but may be desirable for the appearance. A well-drained site is very important, particularly when overwintering. Failure for Gaillardia to return is usually due to wet overwintering conditions rather than cold temperatures. Trimming back growth in mid-fall will allow foliar growth before frost and will further overwintering efforts. | |
