Why you need this plant:        Raspberry rose-colored flowers in early summer carried over mat of furry leaves.  Cousin of familiar foxglove, this one is perennial.  Thrives in a variety of sites and soils.

 
Planting Info:       Do best in humus-rich, well drained soil in partial shade.  Cut flowering stems down to the ground after spring flowers to encourage secondary spikes.  Propagate from seed in fall or by division.  Self seed readily, however, seedlings may not be true to cultivar.
