| Coreopsis rosea'American Dream'
| | Common Name: | Tickseed
| | Bloom color: | Pink
| | Height: | 15"
| | Bloom: | June-Aug
| | Hardiness: | Zone 5-8
| | Light: | Full Sun
| | Soil: | Average but well-drained
| Why you need this plant: Low mounds of rich green threadleaf foliage bear masses of deep rose-pink daisies. | | | Planting Info: Deadheading throughout the season after the first year will encourage the maximum bloom. Will do well anywhere with a moderate amount of sun and a well-drained soil. In late August or early September, cut the flower stems down to the basal foliage, but leave the basal foliage intact. This encourages late season vegetative growth, which will prepare the plant for winter and produce numerous blooms the next year. | |
