The first flowers of June are 5-6" wide, and masses of 4" flowers bloom in the fall. A compact Clematis that puts its energy into flowering, rather than top growth. | | | Planting Info: Clematis are notoriously heavy feeders and require a rich, organic soil for robust growth. Although slow to start, once established the Clematis will provide years of enjoyment and bloom. Do not cut vines back in late fall as new growth will sprout from old wood in spring. At Red Barn, all of our Clematis are two years old, grown at our nursery for hardiness, with a trellis included. | |
