Why you need this plant:        Natural hybrid from NC Botanical Gardens.  Strong show of yellow flower spikes and blue-green foliage the rest of the summer.  Vigorous gray-green foliage topped with long spikes of soft yellow flowers.

 
Planting Info:       Once established, moderately drought tolerant because of its tough, deep taproot.  This perennial native to the prairies of North America may take a couple of seasons to become established, but is very long-lived once mature.  Avoid disturbing established clumps.
