Why you need this plant:        Cherry fuschia-pink, daisylike flowers with a yellow center, over low mounds of lance-shaped leaves.  Great in rock and alpine gardens, or font of borders.  Attracts butterflies.

 
Planting Info:       Most hardy Asters thrive in well-enriched fertile but rather dry soils.  Water deeply during dry spells, but avoid wetting the foliage.
